kandi shop question

okay this might sound stupid but i would much rather ask and be respectful just in case,,so please bare with me:,) i’m decently new to this community and i don’t want to hurt anyone or anything!!

so i may make a kandi shop, i can make things like rotating cuffs (i’m still decently new but i learn fairly quickly) and i was wondering if it’s okay to sell your creations of cuff patterns you find on here? i totally understand if that’s a no, i definitely wouldn’t want to profit off of someone else’s work without their permission. i could credit the owner? i’m not exactly sure, so i was wondering if anyone wanted to share their opinions.happy

It’s best to ask permission if you can. But sometimes the creators aren’t active on the site anymore, so in that case crediting them would be better than nothing. And just be prepared and willing to remove the item if they weren’t happy with you selling it.

I used to stop people from selling items made from my patterns but I don’t mind anymore.

For patterns with trademarked characters, it’s more complicated because legally you’re not supposed to sell those. The creator of the pattern doesn’t have the right to give you permission for those, and the items might be removed from your shop if you list them online.

if you plan to sell a cuff made from a
pattern you saw on here you should
ask the creator if they're okay with
that first! i think of kandi patterns
as someone's art, so i prefer to sell
items with designs i've made myself
to avoid "arttheft", so to speak. i do
have a cuff for sale that i used someone
else's pattern for but i did get their
permission to sell it if i credited them.
it's better to confirm, some people
will take it as a compliment if they
know you're making their stuff! C;
