how to make perlers more sturdy/durable?

hi!! so i had a perler on my backpack and it ended up snapping 2.gif is there any way that i could make the perlers to where they dont break so easily, or should i just avoid using perlers where they could break like that?

maybe put mod podge on it?

If they're placed in a way that puts them at a curve where there's a lot of pressure on them then that could lead to them breaking. If there is one row that is long but only one perler bead wide, it's more likely to break. You could try ironing them more. Idk if you use the masking tape method, but I know that one doesn't make them very strong.
