what r some phases you went thru as you explored the internet

i'm sure that quite a few of the ppl on here r like me and had access to the internet way too early , so what were some 'phases' (basically fandoms or interests in this context) you went thru because of it?

some of mine r:

lego. just lego. (there was 1 guy who made an entire zoo n it was amazing)
myfroggystuff (this included asking my dad "CAN YOU PRINT ME A FLOOR")
littlelestpetshop (anyone remember that emperor's new clothes video?)
my little pony but only a little bit (the only thing i remember from it is the brony notion. and discord(song), ofc)
undertale (i made an au w/ a no-longer-friend. it was not good. she made a mary sue with rainbow powers.)
subreddits. (I ONLY WATCHED THESE FOR LIKE 3 MONTHS- and i only watched the weird ones. i learned too much.)
dan and phil (i remember how excited i was when dan came out!!)
editing pics of myself on my kindle fire (i pretended i was posting them somewhere and edited one abt learning of 2 new undertale ships.)
(then i got my phone and-) gacha life. i made a channel. it was not good (but i tried so that's all that matters)

and thats all the stuff from like 2014-2019 (and early 2020)

okay so this is embarrassing but like

tiktok dances. so many tiktok dance videos.

myfroggystuff- i spent so much money on supplies 2 make stuff i swear

my hero academia (like the rlly cringey stuff)

reddit videos (like r/noahgettheboat or r/furry_irl)

gacha- oh gosh it was horrible

nightcore. too much.

oh and i also went thru a homophobic phase

my phases were:

lps, i loved the drama yt channels

mermaids and anything involving them- shows, costumes, spells, yt vids/series, etc. i loved h2o: just add water and mako mermaids TOO much

toca boca apps (i spent all my giftcards on them, but can you blame me)

lego friends *^* self-explanatory

mcyt, but the old channels- popularmmos, gamingwithjen, ldshadowlady, dantdm, etc.

amino and similar apps/sites for questionable forum roleplay......

warrior cats ANYTHING (book series, yt channels, wiki, animal jam rp, irl rp, art, fanfics) was a major part of my identity as a kid and the fandom imprinted on me tbh

mice. as in the animal? in the later half of elementary school i reallyy wanted a pet mouse and would research their care day in and day out. even after so many google slides presentations and essays, i never got one. rip. but my favorite yter from that era is def creekvalleycritters. super nostalgic for me. hard to explain

so yeah those were my earliest ones. my interests have since evolved thankfully (my longest lasting hyperfixation so far tho is fnaf lmfao)

Some of my most notable were:

Lps (I remember not being able to sleep because of the horror mini movies-)

Mlp, Monster High, and Ever After High (I loved all three of these and literally had a Monster High oc)

My Town and Toca Boca games (Little me had storys for like every character I loved this crap)

Minecraft Youtubers (Not dsmp just Ldshadowlady and those kind of youtubers)

AMINO (This freaking crap was horrible- my friend got gr(((m*d and it just sucked overall 0/10)

It (It was overall a nice phase and I met some good friends but once when I was looking for fanart I found wattpad and I read some cute stories but that accidentally lead me to sm*t and scarred me)

Yandere Simulator (loud sobbing)

Nightcore (Anyways moving on-)

Good Mythical Morning (I watched it like everyday, I still watch them sometimes)

I also had a Fnaf phase and quite a few more but those are some of them

I was a little a$shole- I was a battle axe bi anti neoprns anti xenogenders anti theysbians and she/her gays and thought flop accounts were super funny, I am now going to crawl into a hole and die

omg the mention of MyFroggyStuff brought back so many memories.

Anyway.. my most notable i had internet too early phases are:

~Yandere Simulator (I watched far too much of this game at like 7 or 8.)

~Game Theory (Still watch GT, just started watching it far too early imo)

~Warriors. (I meet my closest online friends through warriors rp)

~Mlp (I also watched the BronyNotion, and with my dad too. We almost went to one of the cons. (he wasn't weird about the ponies, just a kid at heart guy))

~Monster and Ever After High (I've had monster highs since i was like four and used to make crafts for them)

~GMM (I would watch their everyday videos for a while)

~Shopkins (i still got over 200 of these little toys. I might use them for cuffs)

~Minecraft (One of the first things I watched on yt was stampy, so ive watched almost everyone that was popular. Lizze and her crew, unspeakable, littlekelly and them, popularmmos, skydoesminecraft, and now a days the dreamsmp. I never watched captainsparkles though)

There's a ton more, especially ones I shouldn't have watch as a youngin but those are the most notable I still have remnants of. Access to the disturbing depts of internet has made me who I am today and i love that.

IVE HAD SOOOO MANY PHASES ( i think it has something to do with my asd...)

my froggy stuff (any doll related/crafting hobbies) (i still like making miniature clothes tho)

good mythical morning (me and my cousin watched them everyday on the way to school and everynight before bed for years)

Steven universe (still love the show, the fandom... we don't talk ab it. Steven universe really helped me get through my loneliest times so it holds a special place in my heart)

toca life (this is a really niche game but i LOVED IT during quarantine)

mlp (still love it but when i was in elementary school me and my brother would watch it everyday)(i used to get the mc donalds toys when my mom couldn't afford the toys from like walmart, and used to customize them)

lps ( the show SLAPPEDDD, and the youtube miniseries were so fun)

ever after high (the only thing i talked about for months)

rainbow loom (used to give them away at school... it was the gateway to my kandi obsession)

true crime ( this started when i was like 7 but i used to watch IDmurder shows and then it shifted to watching true crime daily yt videos. then i started going on subreddits and it was the only thing i talked ab at family functions for 3 years)

shopkins (i really liked the cookie swirl c videos )

different disney/ nickelodeon shows (gravity falls, Phineas & ferb, kim possible, danny phantom) (i made really bad fan art...lets move on)

minecraft (this is a long running hobby that consumes my life, but its ok )

daily planners...(this one is random but not really) (i hate writing but i love pretty stickers and routines)

FNAF (my brother was really into it and i didnt get it, but it was fun)

Skylanders (IT CONSUMED MY LIFE)

commentary youtube, but the 2017 version that consisted of reaction vids

makeup youtube (never Jedidiah starburst tho, never that) (started as a joke with my cousin in the 4th grade and now i am in love with makeup)

the phases i had wereee:

undertale (this was so long ago, it was a fun fandom to be in and i still have some of the plushies)

gacha (i used this app a lot- i was so toxic back then so the content was disturbing- i dropped out of the community but i make characters and draw them)

warrior cats (i think i devoted most of my time to this fandom- i loved the ats and i made a ton of oc's)

nightcore- (oh god- i yeah- no comment)

outlast (omg why did i play this as a kid, im addicted to it now-)

yandere simulator (i swear i was one of the most disturbing kids-)

eddsworld (i fell out of the fandom before it got too toxic- i still have a red hoodie from the time i wanted to be tord tho-)

one of my favorites- fnaf (i loved fnaf and im still kinda obsessed)

i was also really into the my hero academia fandom- i left because someone was very toxic towards me and ruined it for me- i dont blame the fandom tho-

i was also really into shopkins- jeez that makes me feel so old-

also just little random fandom that i was obsessed with was panic at the disco- i dont support them anymore tho-

if theres anymore i can think of ill make another comment lolz

I had...

MyFroggyStuff (and a general crafting phase)

Littlest Pet Shop (ties in with the crafting phase because I would make the crafts for my LPS, I still have tubs full of them)

My Little Pony (still have my MLP build-a-bears lel)

I sort of had an Undertale phase, but I mostly just listened to the soundtrack and watched comic dubs. That was ~3 years ago, and I only got to actually play the game a few months ago. I don't know why I didn't play it sooner.

I watch those subreddit videos a lot, wouldn't really call it a phase though.

Gacha (I tried to leave the community around a year ago when the whole UTTP/Sherbase situation went down because it just wasn't safe, but I still sometimes watch those little short videos/read gachatubers community posts, I also still sometimes play GC when I'm bored).

By the way, did anyone have an object show/BFDI/BFDIA/IDFB/BFB phase? I still watch those shows but in the 5th grade I thought I was so special n quirky because I was an object show kid haha,,,

Oh, and when I was 7 or 8 I had a Warriors phase. I was probably a tad too young to be reading them because of the violence, and it was a miracle I didn't burst into tears everytime someone died because I was REALLY sensitive to books with animal death (and pretty much still am, my life motto is "If it has a dog on the cover, the dog won't make it to the end of the book.") but yeah. I kind of want to pick them back up again, but my library never has the first one, and the digital library has all of them on a wait list as it currently stands. I hope I can get back into it some day.

EDIT 4/24/21: I got it! My library actually had the first Warriors book!

my little pony. my mlp phase was massive and i still have a little poster of all the characters up in my room. i have a whole box full of toys which i recently just found after a few years! i used to play mlp flash games on deviantart all the time from 2014-15 (i think)

in around 2015 i got into warrior cats and my phase lasted around 2 years. i had some OCs and got my inspiration from the app quizup, cause i was apart of the warrior cat community on there. weird times. (2015-17)

the warrior cats phase also came with being a furry. idk if i'm a furry anymore but i had a fursona in 2016 when i was 9. (2016-17)

undertale - i watched thinknoodles' letsplay when it came out! (2016)

i got into anime and started to watch 2000s shojo titles like school rumble and host club, which came with a lot of borrowing dvds from my local library and then scouring the internet for ship art and then freaking out that my parents would see my history heheh (2017-18)

and then came the 80s anime phase. idk. i like animation but that kinda turned me into a shitty "elitist". whoops. (2018-19)

eddsworld *shudder* i love eddsworld itself but the fandom... the fandom ( (2019)

invader zim (helped me get through quarantine) (april 2020)

south park (may-july 2020)

homestuck. (august 2020 - now)

and now the dumb stuff i like today. i wrote a lot. whoopsies.
