i have a slightly traumatic past and my coping mechanism is weird. i laugh about it. i laugh when im nervous and i laugh in serious situations

yeah!! esp if its based off of a specific type of trauma that they haven't experienced (eg: s/h, parental neglect, religious trauma, etc)

unpopular opinion but i think non traumatized people should be allowed to use traumacore IF they’re using it to help cope [would that mean that they do actually have trauma? Maybe they don’t want to label themselves as that. Maybe it’s just helping them in the moment]


If anyone is using it to help cope regardless of whether they have experienced trauma they’re valid in my books. It might seem a bit confusing for a non traumatized person to be using traumacore but if it’s helping them then why should I take that away from them.

If ANYONE is using it as a quirky aesthetic THAT IS NOT OKAY

i def agree, i'm traumatized and use traumacore 2 cope and it makes me so mad when i see neurotypical & non-traumatized ppl use it for the ~aesthetic~
