hi!

id like to find some new animes to watch that dont include any major depressing or NSFW content!

id also like to find one with a male or mLm lead!

Sk8 the infinity - 8/10 Short but awesome. plus i'm pretty sure theres some romantic tension between the 2 main characters

Toilet Bound Hanako Kun - 6/10 a bit of sadness but aah so cute

Little Witch Academia - 8/10 almost no male characters but its rlly cute

i dont really watch non-edgy animes, so i asked around and heres the responses i got:

"Ouran High School Host Club!"

"May i recommend Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! It's a slice of life comedy about three school girls who are making their own animation, and it's very sweet!"

"There's a light one about a teen who can see yokai I started called Natsume Yuujinchou or Natsume's book of friends. Enjoying it so far. Only subtitled though as there's no dub."

I know a lot of sports animes are lighthearted and fun and mostly all have male protags, and my personal favourite feelgood series with male protagonists are Binan Koko Chikyuu Boueibu LOVE and Karneval (not the dub though *shudders*)

wow, you just made me realise that anime really loves to bury their gays... most of the things i can think of are tragedies. i like a lot of older shows so i can reccomend those... patalliro is a really weird, obscure and wacky show, i also think it was the first anime to have gay themes aired on tv. the art is funky by todays standards but it's just so all-out bizarre, it's awesome!

if you do feel like tragedy at some point, you could look into some works by keiko takemiya or moto hagio (both manga artists) they both have a very beautiful, 70s shojo style. these two artists were both pioneers for these themes in manga .'the poe clan' by moto hagio is a something i can definitely recommend, it isn't a tragedy and i would consider it one of my favourites (plus the two main guys have totally got something going on.)

srry if this is a clunky response im sitting on the floor of the auditorium at school and im meant to be doing english work

ALSOOO if you want gay jokes just watch yugioh the abridged series... i can't believe im recommending this but i'm getting into it again and its absolutely hilarious

I've never watched Yuri on Ice but it has canon mLm leads if I remember right

Personally I'd reccomend Toilet Bound Hanako Kun, no canon mlm or a male protag but it's my favorite so I just gotta reccomend it

i recommend cute high earth defense club LOVE !!! it’s a magical boy anime with an all male cast! I watched it a while back but i remember it being generally happy and wholesome

I'd reccomend Lucky Star, It's a Slice of Life anime and it's super cute. It gets sad at some parts, but nothing too extreme.
