@Spider: And also I am not trying to convert you lol..... A lot of peeps dont like thiestic satanism because they hate "worshiping" anything but I personaly like being able to worship something so my religion is something that just works for me and my personality .

I know for a fact that a lot of peeps are way more independant than me (which is amazing) I just like to be able to have something to worship.

It has been a couple of decades almost since I took a look at that book. Maybe your right, maybe I should re-read it and remind myself what it's specifically about. What I remember as the focus of Lavey Satanism is to revere and worship the self above all others. I think It might have mentioned that Satanists should not harm other Satanists? But I recall the philosophy mainly centering around self-worship and self-exaltation and seeing the self as the most important above all others. There is already so much Narcissism in the world, especially the western or white privileged world. I don't want any part of that at all. I have no interest in perpetuating any such thing. I feel that Laveyist satanism does this and that many Laveist Satanists I have met have been white men who believe in white supremacy and the supremacy of cis heterosexual heteronormative monogamist men. I am hugely against ALL of that. This is all part of why I don't identify with Laveyist satanism.

I remember that you feel you are a theistic Satanist and it sounds like you identify with Laveyist Satanism. I'm interested in what that all means to you specifically. Could you tell me more about your perspective and your thoughts?
I think that no matter what a book or a writing or teaching says we have to understand that every single person interprets those things in a different way, in their own way. I accept that and I am interested in your interpretation of what you believe in.

@TOPG666: I'm a mixed neo satanist with a focus on religious freedom, mixed belief worshiping, counter-culture religious acceptance and visibility, and on a personal level the denial of the self.
Although I believe deeply in everyone having the right to their own beliefs no matter how much I disagree with them, I have to admit that I am very much against Anton Szandor LaVey or LaVeyist satanism which focuses on the worship of the self and the denial of the humanity and human rights of other people in favor of worshiping the self.
I am truthfully first and foremost a Pagan. Celtic Native American and Shinto leanings- and I agree with the Wiccan and Druidic sentiments of: " And Ye Harm NONE- do what thou wilt" Which LaVeyist satanism doesn't account for.
I believe that I am a Satanist because I am given that moniker by Christians and other Abrahamic worshipers and I accept and reclaim it for myself.
I know that a darkness exists in me from the she of the Tuathdedanan as I was born a changeling and was dumped in the human world in place of a dying human child that the good neighbors decided to take for their own. I know that a darkness exists around me like a curse.
I believe in darkness and I find comfort there. I know I was born of it and to it I will return.
But I wouldn't say I worship that darkness. I simply acknowledge it.
For that I am associated with satan. Fine by me.
