im genuinely confused and dont wanna sound rude so educate me

how would i use neopronouns? cause there are several people who use those/who are xenogender but i genuinely dont really know how to use those pronouns and i dont wanna come off as rude/uneducated if im talking to someone who does use them /gen /srs

Use them like a normal pronoun, if you need help, type a sentence with they pronouns then thang them to the neopronoun!!

Just replace them, her, or him in himself with the neo. Anything her, his, theirs would be the neo with 's. Anything like She, he, they would just be the neo. Hope this helps ;]

use it like a nickname in a way??? if that makes sense??

ex: star/starself

"star went to the store by starself"

versus

"she went to the store by herself"

ex: ze/zem

"ze went to the store by zemself"

versus

"he went to the store by himself"

probably the most common type you'll see are ones like xe/xer/xyr which can replace something like he/him/his in a sentence. there are also nameself neopronouns like star/starself where for example you'd use "star" in place of something like he/him/his, and in place of something like "himself" you'd use "starself." some people use no pronouns and I'm unsure if that counts as a neopronoun but you'd refer to the person with their name in that case.

and you can always just ask if you're unsure! we (or at least I) won't bite, people actually using them is very appreciated :] there are lots out there!! I don't expect you to memorize them all lol. not to mention that not everyone may use common neopronouns the exact same way, for example iirc I modified ve/vir to get vi/vir/virs/virself which is what I like to use.

(also note: not everyone who identifies with a xenogender will use neopronouns and the opposite is true as well. I'm looking into xenogenders I MIGHT identify with but I've been using neos before I considered the possibility lol. they sound cool + I feel extra free from being perceived as any one gender identity.)
