Syntax error help?

When I use the search bar it just gives me a syntax error message and usually I'm able to fix it by refreshing but that isn't working.

It's a problem with the search server. I can see some errors like that in the logs, but I don't know which errors were yours nor do I know which filters you had enabled at the time, which means I can't properly troubleshoot it.

I made a quick change and restarted the server. If/when it happens again, please take a screenshot of the page so that I can see what URL you were on, what the error message said, and which "Types of Pattern" filters were enabled. It looks like the problem is related to those filters, so setting/unsetting them might temporarily fix the problem.
