what string should i use to make kandi bags? i use fabric covered elastic for everything but the bags i make are pretty big so when i used that it was super floppy which i don't want. i like the stype of planet_marz' bags in terms of structure but idk which string will be non elastic and won't dry rot, any reccomendations >.<

Well I tend to only have pieces that I wear/touch my skin often end up dry rotting if they’re made of regular elastic. Things like bags or charms I don’t really mind being regular elastic because they don’t really tend to dry rot (that I’ve experienced, so I’m not sure if it’s guaranteed) but things like straps or handles for the bag could be made out of fabric-covered elastic for strength

It depends on what type of bag. I made a bag out of squares and the stretchy fabric string handles it just fine, my only concern is the strap. If you want to do big multi stitch bags I’d use fishing line. Strong, sturdy, no stretch, but I have no idea how to tie it without it coming undoneshrug
