adobe flash?

hey so uh, this is my first thread here, so i apologize if any of this is formatted incorrectly, in the wrong spot, etc but i gotta know: what happens to the pattern making feature when flash stops being supported? is there going to be an alternate way to create patterns, or will it just be gone forever? thanks in advance to whoever responds to this!

Sorry, you are unable to reply. If the thread is still open, you might have been blocked from commenting due to spam or abuse, or we might not have been able to verify that you are a real account. Try updating your profile and interacting more on the site. There are greater restrictions on forum comments due to spam. Spam comments will still not be published, even for verified accounts

I think the current pattern will disapper or not save.

@Crumpet: oh good! i just wanted to make sure i'd still be able to make patterns after it shut down. thank you for making the new one so we can keep using the site to it's fullest kao happy

The current pattern maker will disappear. We will have a new HTML5 pattern maker which will be in alpha (limited set of features) and still under active development. We will 100% have something resembling a pattern maker online on January 1st. It will just have limited features and might have bugs or not work for everyone yet.... but that’s the same with the current one anyway; people are having problems saving.

The good news is, I have never been able to add new features to the current Flash pattern maker because I didn’t have the source code. I have the source code for the new one (since I wrote it) so we have the chance to make it much better.
