How do i make patterns/help making a pattern.

I really want to make a cuff that looks like Shorter Wong from Banana Fish because he's my favorite character, like ever, but I have no idea how to approach making a pattern that looks like him. Especially with the sunglasses and mohawk.

here on the site theres a "make a pattern" section, and u can import a photo for reference, which lets u take colors off. also theres a search so someone could have already made the kandi ur lookin for! i know thats not much help, but i hope that helps at least a little bit :3
