best places to buy beads in bulk? i keep having to pay a lot for small amounts of beads

dollar tree is good but the best place is amazon and hobby lobby(sometimes they have a 50% off sale!)

jo ann's has an amazing selection of beads at a fairly decent price !!! it might be pricy though depending on how many beads you get per pack and what type of beads you get though - letter beads in packs of >50 are often $5.00+.

michael's is fairly good, but way too overpriced. pretty much only good for big packs of letter beads in a big tube (linked at bottom of my comment), and for buying certain types of beads. the letter beads can depend on preference - i now prefer the solid, much brighter version of letter beads (if ya know ya know).

dollar store is also really great !!! depending on the products you have at yours, you can often buy multiple packs of beads in like 5-6 colors all together for $1 !!! you can also find letter beads, cute little beads, and sometimes even string i think !!

if you live in the USA beaderyproducts.com has lots of bags of 1000 beads for 2.50! you will need to pay shipping but i love that store! same bead distributor as beadtin but at half the price.

Michaels they have a lot of beads for 4 dollars but sometimes you might not find what your looking for i went to two Michaels and couldn’t find any blue beads but there’s also beadtin they have a lot of beads for cheap

i agree with lavendeath. nowhere i've found has the same value of bead vs cost as walmart. i get a pack of 500 beads for 1.97, which is ~0.00394 per bead. as opposed to sites like ponybeadstore which sell 500 beads for 2.89, which is ~0.00578 per bead. it may not seem like a big difference, but when you buy in bulk it adds up FAST. factor in costs for shipping and you're looking at some pretty hefty purchases. walmart has free pickup right now because of covid so you don't even have to go in, you can just order them and have someone bring it to your car, or order it alongside groceries.
the only problem i've had is availability. my walmart only sells a neon blend, a rainbow blend, and some different letters as well as black/white/red in their own packs, but they are never in stock. lots of people bored at home, so they sell out super fast.
