I do!! I have an etsy shop that's taking a big ol hiatus rn but I have a LOT of tips from stuff I learned the hard way

  • Have mailers, stamps, boxes, etc. ready to go!! I started off with small bubble mailers, a sharpie, and two stamps per package which worked pretty ok, I upgraded to printing labels and taping them on later but that requires a printer and a LOT of tape. I think you can print labels at whatever mailing service you have locally (for me UPS, they have a little machine you can put info in and it'll print the label on a sticker, but it sucks to do if you have a lot of packages and people are waiting to use it lol) i stick to printing labels myself, just have plenty of tape on hand. Always have enough mailers, stamps, etc. ready so you don't have to rush to a store or wait for a delivery while customers are waiting for the thing to be shipped
  • If you do customs, be wary of how many you have available on your listing. I did custom kandi cuffs and they pile up FAST. I recommend only having like 2 or 3 customs available at a time before finishing them and THEN restocking, do not overwhelm yourself!!
  • Extra goodies are always fun to put into packages as a thank you!! I like adding a little note with some stickers and an extra single. if you add edible candy (I do that too) make sure it's something that won't melt or cause allergic reactions!! (I stick with dum dums and jolly ranchers, which make it in the mail pretty fine if it isn't too hot)
  • Offer different sizes!! I had an example photo showing three different sizes of the same kandi all on one arm so customers could get a good idea of which one would fit them best
  • ADVERTISE!! Show off what you have in stock on any social medias you have, customers won't know to look for your shop if they don't know it's there!! Lots of shop owners do scheduled restocks and update whenever those go live, which is awesome if customers have been waiting for something unavailable

I have more but idk how helpful these are lol, I do also recommend purchasing from other shop owners to see how they package their stuff, average wait time for shipping, etc.
