DARK MODE?? (mods pls respond)

crumpet!! it would b zuper kewl if u made a zetting where u can change the webzite to dark mode/darker colorz!

(it would be super cool if you made a setting where you can change the website to dark mode/darker colors)

i made thiz a thread inztead of a dm bc i thought other ppl might want thiz too

Hi everyone, yes dark mode is something that has been requested on here many times and I know that it’s important from an accessibility standpoint as well (migraines, sensory issues etc). I’m sorry to anyone whose eyes hurt from how bright it is.

Right now we have some major issues going on behind the scenes that are threatening the site to shut down, so I’m deliberately not adding any new features until those are resolved. Right now it’s mostly the UK that’s at risk. At present it looks like the site will likely be offline in the UK from June.

So far it looks like it will remain online for a lot longer in the US even in the worst case scenario, so you don’t need to be alarmed, but any spare time I have needs to go into working out if/how I can keep the site online, not on new features. I’ve ignored quite a few threads recently with requests and this is why. I don’t want to create alarm when it’s all up in the air at this point. I will give plenty of notice if something does need to happen with the site

@xXInkclawisdeadXx: (idk if this is sarcastic or not, and im not being antagonistic, promise!!! but) some ppl (like me) get migraines rlly often, or have other light sensitivities. having dark mode makes screens way less painful to look at

aww a little bit of light mode never hurt no one. Don’t y’all like burning your eyes out because you open the website at night? I thought people loved that
