How do you go about attaching perler to cuffs?

Hey there! This is probably a question thats asked a bunch, but I wanna hear how others do it. I am a visual learner, but every video tutorial I've seen is hard to understand, or very pixely and hard to see! 513b55c71219e_kao_cry.gif

Recently, I made a flat cuff (odd peyote) as a gift for my older sister, along with a perler to go along with it. I was able to attach it to my cuff, but It is a very sloppy job and it looks like it can fall off easily! I wanna fix this before i can give it to her!!

Im mostly confused on how to attach it, if i should be using my regular elastic string to attach it, and how to securely tie it into place!513b55c721dfa_kao_confused.gif

(P.s: if you have any video tutorials on hand that fit the cuff mentioned & are a more clear quality please lmk!!)

PLEASE HELP !! I'd appreciate any and all methods!

Ok so u know the holes that r on the pearler when it's hot u need to make sure that the hole is big enough for the string and when it's cooled off attach it to the cuff

@postalsdude: editing comments is finnicky on mobile, id find 2 points on either side of the center of the perler & choose two spots to poke. I usually will poke 2 horizontal holes, but sometimes vertically works for different stitches.

while its still warm after ironing (id give it ~a minute so you dont burn yourself) i go through with either the nib of a pen or a utility blade [be Very careful] to widen a hole on both sides.

You can also wrap it around a cup or something round (also while its warm) to make it adhere to the shape of the cuff better!

I have a friend who uses hot glue, and I did it and it looked good, but not sure if this is the best option

what I usually do is when it’s still warm I take tweezers and sort of make two side by side holes bigger so I can later take some string and attach it on, but u would have to do some planning for this one. As well as that, but Mood Kandi has a YouTube short that explains itrainbowsmile
