Perlers will not stick together!

TormentedMind 8/12/2016 07:41 pm 9257

Help me please! I tried for over an hour to try to get a panda perler to iron together. The beads just would NOT stick! I ended up giving up... I got the perlers in a big pack at walmart. Is that the issue?crying

To save some money, I buy my Perler brand perler beads off of Amazon. Or off of the Perler website. But if you can't order off of online, I would recommend Joanns, as they have regular sales on them and have plenty of colors. Michael's and Hobby Lobby should have them too. rainbowsmile

I've heard a lot of people complain about off brand beads before so that might be part of the problem. It could also just be a bad batch., because the blue beads I got from the perler brand just do not melt, but everything else will melt normally.

@TormentedMind: That could be. Try turning the heat up, or get a new iron. Don't give up! If they still don't melt then get the Perler brand. It's the best!

@TormentedMind: I use Perler brand for the regular size. I also have the mini beads, artkal brand and another brand from China I think. Both have worked fine for me. Perler brand is the best. I get them on Amazon.

@lori05: I thought it was hot enough, but I don't know. It's a super old iron, so maybe it might not work right?

@rainbowpopcorn: I guess I'm just going to toss them out too. I really want to make perler things, but after that I just want to burn those perler beads everytime I see them lol Does Hobby Lobby sell good ones? What brand do you use now?
