How do I ensure that my peyote stitch isn't all wonky?

My peyote stitch always ends up looking wonky pls help

pull each row nice and tight! Also, it could be nothing to do with your stitching - maybe the beads are slightly irregular in size. Beads with different finishes or of different brands may vary slightly in length, and that adds up a lot when you are making an entire panel/cuff. But if it is your stitching, maybe check that your first row is as regular as it can be. In the past when I have worked with a wonky initial row, the rest of the stitch seems to follow suit cryingcrying
