fishing line vs stretch magic for masks

wast_d 1/9/2016 01:48 am 3845

which do you suggest works the best for making masks in general ?

I've read that using fishing line for surgical kandi masks keeps it nice and tight and makes a good shape

but for full face masks (like the sub zero or sugar skull mask) I heard using stretch magic worked best.

what was best with your experience ?

thanks in advance c:

stretch magic is the vest ever!! but dont go with .5 cuz itll be most likely broken. if u want thick i go with 1. stretch magic is so much easier to tie off but not as sturdey happy

I've been making my mask with stretch-cord with no problem, i guess this is where preference come to hand. I recently bought a spool of fishing line, going to make a mask with it soon to see what all the hype is about dance

i feel like i'm the only one who is gonna say this lol, but with my surgical mask experience i've used .7mm plastic stretch cord and it's actually worked great! the mask is not floppy at all. so i guess if you keep the beads tight, .7mm or 1mm plastic stretch cord is your friend happy

I prefer Fishing line for mask. It holds better and doesn't stretch out of shape when you put it on like it sometimes does with stretch magic.

I've made surgical masks with both fishing line and stretch magic. I prefer the fishing like because the mask is all loose and the Stretch Magic can snap if it is pulled too tight and falls apart after a while. I've never made a sub zero ask, but if you want a mask to last longer, I would recommend fishing line that is over 10 pound test.

never made a subzero mask or full face, but I've made a surgical mask and I can tell you that if you use stretch magic, it would be HORRIBLE. Too stretchy. Fishing line, is sturdy and it keeps everything tightly together.
