what to wear to my first rave?

okay so i turned 18 in august, so i'm old enough to rave, finally. but i have literally no idea what to wear. i've got a t shirt with a cat on it and it has rainbows around it, and some hot pink shorts (pictures later) and i picked out some bright pink lip gloss to wear on top of pink lipstick, do y'all think that would be okay? the venue's dress code says no masks and that's it so i'm pretty much free to wear anything, and i'm confused about what i should wear. nothing too revealing, because i'm uncomfortable with my body.

thanks for your replies, my mom (who is driving my friend and i) is going to take me shopping when she's got some money. so i'll pick out a pair of pink shorts that fit better, and possibly a neon yellow tank top or t shirt.

i also have kandi that is pink and yellow and i'll work on some more.

i'm legitimately so excited, this is my first ever rave happy

just wear whatever you feel comfortable in but neon colors is always something to go with it is very popular and you can do soooo much with bright colors! you could also go with a monochrome theme with just black and white. A rave is about having fun and being yourself. No one is gonna judge you. Just wear whatever you likerainbowsmile

dude the literal point is to be comfortable with what you like, so my advice is wear whatever you want to put on your body. if it's a t-shirt and shorts, ok. if it's a tiny bikini, ok. if it's an expertly tailored three-piece suit, send me pictures because that would be amazing.

be safe and have fun!

I'm an experienced raver and i'll tell you what I usually stumble upon.

*Since you've been doing a lot of Kandi, You could dress up as a kandi raver? (Google it if you don't know) !
*I've never seen anyone use a Cat T-shirt but since it has rainbows it actually works fine, What color is it?
*I usually see people with a simple single colored tank top
*If you can, get a pair fluffy leg warmers, in any color, it covers your shoes! So no need for high heels ( If you're going to rave, bring sneakers!)
*A pair of white leggings with some holes to covers skin, but reveals some. (If you choose to go with pink shorts)

So these are just examples; If you'd want, you could pick any type of clothing that you normally would wear when you go out on a regular bar. Doesn't really matter when you go to a rave, most of the people are super friendly!

Now, depending on the music ( Subgenre of EDM) people tend to dress differently.

Gl and have fun raving!
