changing cuff type for simplicity?

so the majority of cuff patterns seem to be peyote or multistitch and i'm wondering if it would be possible to stitch them in a simpler pattern such as a ladder cuff to make it easier for me to understand + make but i worry it might come out looking jank cus it's a different stitch? if anyone has experience with this sort of thing i'd love the help thank you very much 513b55c7451eb_kao_big_grin.gif51485f23d9e7b_beating-heart.gif

it would definitely look different because ladder stitch is built like pillars and multi/peyote stitch is built like a brick wall (if that makes any sense) especially if you're making it tall. there are lots of easy tutorials on yt and other social media on how to do multi/peyote stitches

I’ve never tried before but simple multistitch patterns could probably work as a ladder stitch, idk about ones with words or complicated stuff or peyote.
