Help with Pattern board

My DD is just starting this whole bead thing. I am trying to help her, but am having trouble with the peg board. How do you create with rows that are not even? Like the ones on this site. Thanks in advance

The ones that are uneven are more than likely peyote stitch or multi-stitch where pony beads are used.. Your best bet is to filter your search results for Perler Beads... if you come across a peyote stitch you like you can try to recreate it in the Pattern Maker... Hope this helps!!
