Making posable tail out of kandi

so im making a tail for a cosplay & i need some help figuring out what to put inside of the tail to make it posable. It's already flexible, but it wouldn't stay in a certain position if it wasn't bent. anyone have ideas for a material i could use to achieve this?

Wire is definitely the way to go. I've made fursuits for about 11 years and have made a few tails like this (just covered in fur instead of being made of beads, same concept) and I've found a very important factor to being able to pose them with any portions that are more upright, having a solid base that runs through a belt is very important. Wrapping the wire around the base & belt loops stabilizes it against your body better to help keep it up. Just something to keep in mind if you haven't considered it yet!
