What is your opinion about this so called "Christian PLUR/raver website?"

There is this website http://raveoutreach.com/outreach/ that supposedly is a ministry/Christian raver site, and I'm a Christian myself but honestly I just found the whole thing completley offensive. They said things like, "90% of the people in thise raves are on drugs, mainly ecstasy", and "people who choose the PLUR life will go to hell," and also made comments on the "highly sexual nature" of raves. UGH! Here is the link http://raveoutreach.com/outreach/: (> . <)

tbh, I've only ever heard about drug usage and sexual acts at raves from my friends who go. They've ALL said that it's something I should not attend since I'm highly uncomfortable about those things. I highly doubt that it's 90%, though, that are involved in that. I'd personally like to start hearing stories about the non-drug and non-sex related goings-ons at raves.

I'm also reading their information on there and you are picking and choosing words from the site to make them appear bad and like they're bashing on the PLUR community when, in fact, they have taken the local law enforcement's estimations of drug use rate and goings ons. Of COURSE it's going to sound bad when you only ask the police about it, but the police are also going to have a better knowledge of the drug usage and whatnot since they are the ones who are to help keep that stuff in check. Perhaps attacking those who are genuinely just trying to help people find The Way isn't the best thing. Likewise, the ministry should be very careful about what they publish so as not to offend the crowd they are attempting to minister to.

There is no good side/bad side here.

there are negative sides to everything. even the rave culture. sometimes people bash on something once they've seen the negative side of it. or they make rude remarks about it that may not be true. like the going to hell thing. that's not true. they just say those things to scare you and to make the rave culture look bad. but the way I see it is that the rave culture is still a loving culture no matter what people say. its all about P.L.U.R.(R). kandi and what not.

Here's the thing: I'm a Christian as well and, to be perfectly honest, a lot-- and I mean A LOT-- of the Christians in the Catholic faith are all "Fire and Brimstone". They believe you'll get punished for friggin breathing the wrong way, trust me. We just have to realize that as a slightly eccentric community, Kandi Kids and ravers in general will be scrutinized by the public eye and all those who deem PLUR vibes as a negative influence. You just gotta remember that as a PLUR family, we stick together. Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit <3 kiss

People have different beliefs. Welcome to the internet. Why let it bother you? Do you think you're going to wherever because of a message of peace and tolerance? Comon now... EDM shows have really changed over the years tho, as the majority of the crowd is there for the over sexualized atmosphere and the drugs. Where it used to be about the music, it's now about the scene. Time have really changed... lol. What anyone else says, shouldn't really bother you. Where some are open minded and tolerant, others are very different... However making the judgment that X person will go to X place for X reason, isn't that site/pastors call to make. That's yours and your religions god's call and judgment. /rant

I'm a Christian as well and yeah I take offense too. All I can say is that they're simply speaking out of pure ignorance.

They can't put everybody that go to raves it that category. Some don't use drug they just goes to hear the music and have fun you can be careful. Even if you go to a regular club there are danger too. Let see them a go to some of these clubs and get some those folks saved to which really need it. I am a Christian I think they have the right idea though some do go their wasted and high and be drug up they need to catch them coming out of there a talk to them. But like I said not everyone does that. I would love for some of them to go clubs and save some people too cause you know there is drinking and others things are going on in there.
