Do you hate that other companies copy converse's style/design?

Now I know we've all talked about Hot Topic selling kandi, decorated suspenders, fluffies and everything else kandi kid/raver related items. But this certain thing has been bugging me lately. Its other companies copying the converse company's style/design. Out of all the footwear in the world converses have become very popular among most music stereotypes. From goth, emo, and scenemo. To scene. To cyber goth, glitter goth, and kandi kid/raver. Converses have proven to be one of those "must have items" in most music stereotypes. I see a problem with copycat converses. The problem is that they all look identical. The only way to find out if its real or not is to compare the toe chuck, stripe across the sole and the bottom pattern of the look alike to the actual converse (besides the all star label). If it doesn't match up then chances are its a fake. Its harder to find what I'm looking for too. I have to check every shoe. How do you guys feel about it? Do you struggle finding converses that are real?

@sad midousuji I did not mean this question to be an insult. I do not put my converses in peoples faces. If I did then I would be a jerk (which is not plurry at all). I'm sorry to hear that you kept getting called out for not having real converses. I'm kind of nerdy (which I don't like) so I know some things that are pretty popular with music stereotypes. For some people they may not care about buying fake stuff. But for me on the other hand I do care if my shoes are the fake brand. Some stores don't sell shoes in boxes and I would be kind of sad to find out that what I thought were converses were actually fakes. For me its kind of like buying a music album by one of my favorite artists. Only to find out that there's no disc inside the case. Do you kind of get me a little bit? I was not trying to be rude in anyway. Smiley face! big grin

Aaaayy, this is just me popping in to say that I used to wear these knock-off Converse brands because they are usually WAY CHEAPER than Converse, and not everyone is blessed with the luxury (or ignorance) of money. People used to mention my fake Converse all the time, and I really hated it, and then grew to hate my family for not being able to buy """"REAL"""" Converse. That isn't healthy, so don't do it to other people. They know they're not real Converse, but people don't need to remind them either. Also, I don't see the big deal when they're not "real"? I mean, maybe this is more just me, but if they look like Converse, and the majority of the population doesn't notice/doesn't care, why does it matter? As long as you're not throwing your feet in people's faces like "LOOOOK AT MY 1000%0% REAAAL CONVER SE HAHA LOSERS!@!11!1!1" like nobody cares.

Honestly, where I live, it's harder to find fakes than it is actual Converse. I didn't know that finding real Converse was a struggle for anyone, considering how popular they are in my area. I think the only fakes I've ever seen were my a pair my friend has… and obviously little kids shoes. But I agree with potter, I usually get mine from Journeys. Famous Footwear has real Converse, as well. There's many more stores I could name off, so message me if you want.

theres a store in the mall called Journey's (its a pretty popular store) that sells many brands of shoes & Converse is one of them. having bought a pair from them before, i know that they're real, so i can trust them when i want another pair. if you don't know how to spot or tell the difference, try this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mc0RCYHOW4Y for visual evidence or http://www.wikihow.com/Spot-Fake-All-Star-Converse for more ways to check for fakes. if you trust the store or its website where you bought the shoes from & know they're real, then continue buying from them. if the shoes you bought were fake, time to switch to a new store

I HATE imposters. I notice the difference right away if another student is wearing them, and it will irritate me for the ENTIRE period. This needs to stop, and I just go to a shoe store and only get the shoes when the box ACTUALLY says Converse. If you know where to look, you can find actual Converse. I believe in you! happy
