is there a site where I can meet other kandi kids?

I know that there's GenXGlow but I can't do anything on that site for some reason. I would like to meet other kandi kids that are friendly and stuff. Is there any sites that are for kandi kids and that are safe for my computer (no tab automatically opening up, no viruses, etc.). Thank you for anyone that answers this! *respect given*

Well...Honestly I think Crumpet is right the best site I've found is really this one or simply by surfing facebook. On another note, I don't really see the kiddish thing about Kandi. It encourages creativity and a love of colors. It also tries to encourage a healthy social behavior though its often viewed in a poor light by those not in the culture. Parents are by far the hardest to convince because right off all they see are the negative sides of the rave community but these individuals do not represent all ravers and least of all Kandi Kids. Which is a funny title by the way when you consider I'm a kandi lover and I'm 32.

I've made 5 new singles since I got my pony beads. Right now I'm making more!

I'm just gonna stick with pipe cleaners for now. String can wait until later. The good thing is that if your single breaks you can easily repair it with pipe cleaners (you would have to take a few beads off to tie it again). Now no one can say I'm crazy for using pipe cleaners for singles. laughing

"I bet she will be completely supportive before long" I'm not sure about that one. I mean when I get into high school she may or may not want me to wear it or something. She doesn't know what a Kandi Kid is, she doesn't know the meaning of PLUR(R), or kandi. My mom tries to buy me different bracelets but I prefer the kandi over the jewelery.

Wow that's awesome that she got you beads! It really sounds like she is starting to accept your kandi making. I bet she will be completely supportive before long happy

I do have good news though. Yesterday was my birthday (I'm now 15 yrs. old) and I got pony beads. I got colorful clear pony beads and a mixed bag of shiny butterflies, stars, and hearts. I also got pipe cleaners but I asked my mom if we could take them back for strechy string. love struck My mom is accepting. love struck

Although I am getting tired of that "wanting to make kandi" feeling. Its starting to bother me a lot and the only thing I can do about it is talk to other kandi kids. My mom tells me I should stay downstairs more but there's nothing I can do. Making kandi would keep me downstairs more (I'd just have to stock pony beads, strechy string and then I'll have a bunch to last). laughing

I guess its because of how it looks and that they don't understand kandi and the rave culture. I would never do drugs (drugs can kill you) and I'm not old enough to rave. I would really like it if my mom would just let me make kandi. I am really happy when I wear kandi (never felt so happy in my life) because I love it, its colorful, creative, and I don't see anything wrong with being a little kiddish. I don't care what anyone thinks I love kandi no matter what. love struck

I don't understand why some parents are against kandi. Shouldn't they be happy that you have a hobby that doesn't require staring at a screen, and that you aren't out getting into trouble or doing drugs?
