What age do you think is appropriate to start raving?

I'm still a bit young, and my brother is going ot be bringing my to my first rave. I was just wondering what you guys think is too young, or just old enough. Thanks 1.gif

Thanks guys, you all helped a lot! :3 He won't be bringing me until the school year starts, and my birthday will be before that so I'll be a little older :3

I started when I was 15, but that was me personally. I think it's different for every person. Some people are ready to handle it at 15-16 but others should wait until they're 18+.

18+. While anime con raves are ok for maybe 16+ it is better to be 18 or older for any festivals or actual raves. Especially given most raves or events will only let people at least 18 years old in.

I started to rave at the age of 11 but I guess the most average age people start to rave is 16 or 17

I think 16 is a good age, if you thoroughly understand the pros and cons of going to raves. I mean, you could go with a pack of people, all sober, and still would be in danger because of other people making poor choices around you. Also, you don't have to go to just raves, you could go to DJs concerts. I mean, I saw Skrillex when I was 13, and it wasn't a rave, but it was a nice little introduction into the EDM scene.

Well most larger raves/EDM events in California became at least 18+. I would say 18+ is ideal, but no younger than 16. If you're younger than that but your brother is taking you, and he's going to be sober and will stick with you all night, you will probably be okay. There are just a lot of negative influences at raves which I don't think are good for younger teens to be around. I know that plenty of people start raving at a young age and many of them don't have any problems, but I still don't recommend it. Btw I was 19 when I went to my first rave.
