Is it okay for me to be a guy kandi kid?

I'm very happy with who I am, but it's hard to stay happy when people are ridiculing you in school hallways.. "Beads are made for chicks" I've been having a hard time excepting myself with +harsh+ name calling... and on top of that, I'm very flamboyant to put things lightly.. I know this is emotional but just tell me is it okay..? At least.. are there any other male ravers out there

Beads are most definatly NOT made for chicks. It is perfectly ok to be a male kandi kid. People are just dicks. I know a ton of males who wear kandi. Tell the bullies to fuck off.

I personally think it's amazing when guys where Kandi all the way up there arms. I'm a very unique person, so when I see someone as unique as I am if not even a little more unique I cringe with delight. Do what you want! It's completely fine if you're a Kandi boy. It's great to have a melting pot of people making this stuff. happy

yes it's ok! coming from another guy here it's very ok. kandi has nothing to do with age, gender, color or anything else. do you and be happy! if ppl give you s#*t find other ppl and surround yourself with ppl that appreciate who you are. the real ravers/kandi kids will accept you no matter what! keep your head up and know you're not alone out there happy

It's definitely okay! I'm not a male raver, but I used to be teased for my kandi my freshman year all the time. Even teachers picked on me for my kandi. People just look for something to make fun of in high school, and it's ridiculous. I hope you can power through their rude comments and fight the idea that beads are made for girls (seriously what kind of crap is that anyway?) It is definitely okay for you to wear your kandi with pride, whether it be a few singles or cuffs up the arm. Work your kandi and make them eat their words winking I hope things get better!

Hey, who cares about what sex you are? It's about the music and the culture, not about anything else. 25/male, kandikid for life. EZ.

Yes by all means! Everyone should have the right to express who they are and show off their kandi! I am a guy kandi kid/raver. I don't go full out with all of my kandi, but I always try to have a couple of pieces each time I go out in public. But of course there are always gonna be haters and those who want to ridicule and tease others, especially those who don't like or understand our lifestyle. I say continue to wear kandi and dress the way that you want and forget the others! And when you get older just surround yourself with others who are into the same things you are and have the same mindset as you do! big grin -Plur Bro happy
