My rats tail (tw?)

we got new rats recently and mcgees (rats name) tail was shriveled at the end. My mom scheduled an appointment for him but yesterday when I got home I checked on his tail and it fell off I can't find his tail but his bone is showing and I feel so bad for him idk I just needed to rant abt this
