cleaning

okay so basically i have a really bad depression room and my anxiety, adhd & autism are keeping me from cleaning it crying

right now I'm trying to like race a timer to see how much I can get done but the more n more I spend in my room the more I feel horrible and like engaging in neg behaviors instead of actually cleaning my room because it makes me feel bad.

y'all have any advice? i cant really listen to music or have a friend over or anything like that

this is what has worked for me during my slumps so far:

i pile everything on to my bed. and i mean EVERYTHING. whatever clothes that need to be put away, candles, money, pictures. just anything on my floor, desk, and dresser. i found that putting clothes on the bottom of the pile has been the easiest for me, that way i can put them away last when everything else is clean. this helps me so much. just having everything in one area so i can fully assess my room, and more importantly, actually see the floor make it so much less overwhleming.

if you don't want to put it on your bed another thing ive done is throw everything into garbage bags regardless of what it is. once again, this helps me just get everything into one area and makes me feel like i have more control over the situation. i then put everything away only one bag at a time,

@sagepawzzz: thats totally fine !! you can also split the same task up into 2 or 3 days if that helps : D and take breaks ofc !!!
