@Phosfate: Wait I may have this wrong and multi stitch is the only one I can get to work. I'm going to hide now.

I only find them hard to gauge how many beads I would need to make them fit. I honestly think they are quite meditating, as you continue to build your ring of beads up. If you're having trouble, I always find VickyMuffins' tutorials on Youtube to be really easy to follow. Sometimes having a visual walkthrough makes things easier. Also, remember that you need to have an even number of beads on your singlet when you first start out the cuff for it to work. I messed that up when I made my first one, and got so frustrated with it because I didn't understand how I had an extra space when I finished my row XD

Another thing that can be kinda tricky, is to make sure that you are keeping track of where you are with your pattern. When I'm making ones with more complex patterns, I have to keep track of where the first bead I put on was. Maybe you could loosely put a colored piece of thread through your first bead so that you don't lose where your position is? That way you'll know where the sides of the pattern "tie" together.

Sometimes you just have to practice over and over to make things feel easier. I think you will be able to get better with it in time.

Another thing that you could do, is maybe make the pattern like a big peyote stitch pattern and then square stitch the ends together? Honestly, I might use this idea myself...

I still have so much to learn. I just bought a lighter (I have never owned a lighter) to heat pointy things to put holes in toys, and I'm scared to use it. When I get to multistitch there will be screaming.

I personally prefer them to petote and x-base but everyone is different. I understand your frustration tho
