Site outage yesterday

Hi everyone, You might have noticed that the site was down yesterday. This is because there was smoke in the building where this site's server is located, and the fire department had to cut the power. The site is now back online (obviously) but the search was still down until a minute ago. Search is now fully functional again too. Thanks for your patience and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. This was completely out of my control 2.gif But hey, at least the server wasn't burned to a crisp! The site would have been down for a lot longer if it had been. If the site's ever down for more than 10-15 minutes, check the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/kandipatterns If I'm aware of it, awake, and have internet access, I will always try to post something. But I live in England so sometimes I'm asleep when problems happen.

megyes, using the wayback machine is a good way to get around site outages. You can also search for what you want in Google, and then view the cached version of the site instead of the live version. To do that, you need to click the little down arrow next to the site URL in the search listing, and then select "Cached" from the drop down. The wayback machine doesn't archive as many pages as Google does, so Google might be more helpful sometimes.

Thank you for clearing this up, I was actually really stressed out about not being able to learn how to make a 3D cuff from this website because your patterns are the easiest for me to understand! I did end up getting on the site using this trick my brother showed me, where you basically search 'website archive' or 'wayback machine' and when you enter a site into the box on that website, it lets you access almost any website in a way it looked in the past, or if it's down like yesterday. I really like how my cuff turned out, and I am planning on making a halloween themed one with a voodoo doll attached! tongue
