Does anyone else hate when others treat you like a headcanoning a fictional character then a human

I didn´t even get to find out I was lesbian but everyone was like knew it cause I just look like one . Plus, getting every single mental disorder down my throat like no I don´t have ADHD, autism, bipolar, DID, depression, and anxiety (i have the last 3 but it´s still like why). I hate getting characterized as the stupid soft UwU kid with some silly mental issues (bc they totally aren´t disabling me /s) that has a knife instead of a complex human with complex emotions.

people will just make up wild shit about me like this random kid a year younger than me came up to me in school and was like “ur a gay furry?!” Or like “ur trans?!” I’m not trans or a furry. I Support trans people and don’t mind furries but I’m not either lol

I think its a bit more assumptions stuff for me, but when older folks usually find out I'm autistic before meeting me, they feel the need to treat me like a young child and perhaps downplay everything, and are surprised when I can do things like make a wide array of art, and compose myself in terms of language better than a lot of others, and then assume that I'm a "smart type" of autistic, and just refuse to perceive me as a normal person, or rather someone who has a lot of complex innerworkings, and not just one singular thing. It's hard to explain, but they assume its one or the other and never a mix of things even when they're the type of people to say "On the spectrum" as if saying the word "autism" is bad :/

yeah! especially in 2020 or so when people just made stereotypes for different s3xualities or gender identities and stuff like that. this girl at my school got mad at me for wearing cuffed jeans and flannel because "it was a bi thing"

yeah. people love to pretend like they know me more than they do, and make some weird ass assumptions abt me. i only have a few super close friends who are allowed to do that just cuz they already know pretty much everything about me, but when someone who i barely know anything about myself starts doing it it's like. why? im always typecasted as a "weirdo loner with no friends" and i mean, they're not entirely wrong? im autistic *and* schizospec, ofc im a bit weird, but some people over-exagerate the weirdness and act like im some sorta monster who's impossible to pin down, who hates all people and hates going out and hates school and is, apparently, constantly on the verge of murder. i mean, yea i have a blunted affect and i don't talk much so ig it looks like that sometimes but my few friends know that i actually do have the capability of liking people, actually.

there's this odd thing where people will see me and assume im just socially inept, so they'll "adopt me" and "take me under their wing" and it's nice at first but then it's just. they treat me as a pet? like i can't think for myself or be trusted with anything, and like im less a person and more their personal entertainment. like, im a whole ass person! ive had life experiences, ive been outside, i have friends, you're just not one of them!!!!

I get what you mean. I haven't experienced quite this but I imagine it's hard being assumed to be an "UWU mentally ill gay". I do know that when I unmask around people I think are safe (in the neurodivergent way I'm still wearing face mask) they don't react to me being higher needs well even when I support them when they have their higher support moments.

I am afraid, that even though it can be hard you just have to assert yourself to those people if you have to be around them.
