I believe it’s because it’s a popular toy design like Raggedy Anne and other baby dolls as Baby is supposed to be like a giant doll and poppy is also based off of the look as well (that’s my guess) Also red hair on baby dolls just became really popular (I don’t remember the reason) I remember my mom talking about how she had a cabbage patch doll that had red hair that looks about the same (plus you got like Wendy from the brand Wendy’s that also has the same color scheme and look lmao) Anywayyysss I hope this helped with some questions or maybe I was way off lol this is all just my personal thinking on now looking at this topic^^
