specifically if yall have ANYTHING that sounds like how the beginning organ of icicles by the scary jokes?? PLS.
or anything that gives church vibes but SPECIFICALLY religious trauma leaning

i got recomended Alice Glass by my partner earlier & i listened to some of her songs & they sound AMAZING! if u havent listen to her songs u should!

oingo boingo, the talking heads, and devo dance ive never heard of the scary jokes, so im not very sure if they're similar or not, but im judging by the recommendations others have gave lol.

@punkrockopossum: lincoln songs do give off that vibe too, i recommend all versions of saint bernard and the new ep with baby take my acid, everything is wrong, and managers special. of course ACSOO is good too, but for the vibe the original poster is going for, not so good.

also relating to religious trauma is some songs by mccafferty. lead singer did some bad stuff but their music has helped me so much with all sorts of trauma, and they have a lot of religious trauma stuff too, like the song trees. hope that helps! heart bounce

okay so!! theres this cool clown-punk band called gum disease that is sort of like the scary jokes?? not a lot but they both give off primordial clown vibes if that makes sense

but there's this really good song by a queer folk-punk artist called the reverent marigold and the song is named JUDAS and it's about t4t judas and jesus and it's helped me cope with my religious trauma! and of course, I recommend saint bernard by lincoln! big grin tbh confetti
