can we stop posting bajillions of heart and circle patterns?

kao nothe pending patterns are always filled with like 50 hearts and circles of random s3xualities and its kinda tiring. like we know how to make a circle or heart with different colour stripes. can we collectively move on from those patterns?

@homemadedynamite you are completley right but that isnt what they mean in the post, it means preexisting patterns being remade over and over becuase people quicky make a easy pride pattern by just filling up a basic base, unique patterns/versions that havent been done or variations of one pattern with diffrent flags are great and knowing the site consists of alot of neurodivergent people i do think making variations is good and it shouldnt be expected to jsut fill in the blanks in your brain. but they mean like a premade pattern no changes being posted by like 100 diffrent epople becuase tehy didnt check if the exact pattern in the exact colors was already made or they upload patterns already made so tehy can make them instead of private publishing so it fills up the voting system. if you want to remake a pattern to have it on hand instead of sving, thats understandable! but if you publcially post it it will fill unessasary space and push unique patterns down and make the mods jobs alot harder and more time consuming then tehy need to be. sorry if theres any spelling errors, i am not good at typing on her and my english hasnt been great lateley eif you need anything to be clarifed please tell me

braceletbook has a different pattern uploading system in which patterns are uploaded to the moderators for them to review, so users don't "vote" for patterns. Patterns waiting for approval are only visible to moderators who will approve or decline. there are rules set when reviewing them that are made to avoid those problems, like duplicates of already existing patterns or patterns that are too simple and ultimately not useful (stuff like shapes or words). i know crumpet already mentioned it but maybe duplicates could be a reason to report a pattern? idk if this helps or is relevant but whatever eyeroll

@homemadedynamite: also they can give people ideas they may not have considered

@TrashPuppy_Therian: yeah ultimately it is up to the mods to decide what is approved. they approve what people want to see (and ultimately whats appropriate for the site)

i get it's annoying but if ppl wanna make a pattern just let them. they don't have to be approved. I usually make patterns for myself anyways and post them incase anyone else wants them. It's really not that big of a deal.

actually gonna disagree here. a lot of people who use the patterns on the site actually DON'T know how to make hearts or circles. that's what the site is for

its cool a lot of people do know how to make that stuff but an absolute beginner probably doesnt and would need that kind of pattern

"it's not that hard to mentally switch out colors" for some people it is (for example having aphasia would make this difficult. i dont have aphasia but i know people who do). honestly i dont think its really a huge deal /nm

LITERALLY THIS!! It gets on my nerves when I'll see the same pattern posted five times with one minor color variation crying Obviously there's a difference if you made a perler or pattern in a neon/pastel/whatever color scheme and then remade it in a completely different one but still. Definitely a big issue on this site.
