There are many different ways you can draw furries, so I’d say a good place to start is figure out what kind of style you want to draw! For example, you can draw them with more animalistic features, or draw them more human like. You could draw them more cartoony, or more lifelike. I’d recommend studying other artist’s work, & finding specific elements you like in their drawings. Don’t worry too much about finding your own unique art style while you are still starting off, that’s something that will come the more you practice & get familiar with drawing them. Just keep in mind that if you are heavily referencing another artist’s work, give them credit if you decide to post that drawing!

I’d also recommend studying drawing real life animals, & finding what characteristics differentiate that animal from other ones! This helps make different species you draw not look the same.

If you want to find drawings that were made solely to be used as references, it might be easier to look up more specific things such as “furry paw reference drawing” rather than just “furry reference drawing”. I can also help you find some references & send them if you let me know what style you’re going for! I’d also love to send links to the pages of some furry artists I enjoy with varying styles cheer

I'm not too good at drawing but the way i learned was trying to recreate other styles (not full-on copy but yk what I'm sayin)

I didn't have TikTok nor Pinterest years ago but if you're looking for references i would look on DeviantArt or Pinterest

also on deviantart people make F2U (free to use) bases to draw on. I'm wishing you the best of luck! heart bounce

also, maybe furaffinity but I think the site is sorta nsfw so idk correct me if I'm wrong.. kao blank
