how do you keep track of where you are on a peyote pattern easily??

asking this bc i was trying to make a flat charm and had trouble keeping track of where i was on the pattern and because of this i ended up putting beads some beads like one bead away from where they should be so gjnfhjnhg some tips would be nice

i copy it into the pattern maker and change the color of the beads i've added

i number the rows with different colors before starting kao yes

i havent made any charms so i cant rlly help with thatw37 but this might work for charms as well- for me i'd just look at how much string i'd have left or (if your using a photo/pattern for reference) compare it to the photo/pattern! i hope this helpskao tongue

i screenshot it and use the markup tool and just put a little star or smth next to the layers ive completed

I just screenshot the pattern and put it into any drawing app (ibis paint x) and then every bead I use from the pattern I put a dot on the pattern. Helps me a lot when making big things-

Numbered patterns + keeping my mouse on the beads I'm on so I don't loose my place

I move my mouse on what bead im on, or if im using a phone i draw on the image using ibis paint

i print out the picture and when i put a bead on i cross out that bead on the pattern awesome1
