How do i convince my mom to get me a phone

I sound like some dumb 11 yr who wants a phone, but im 14 and i got mine taken away 3 YEARS ago. It was bc i had a tiktok acc and posted on there that my mom didnt support me lmao. Anyway besides that, i just really NEED a phone. im not tryna be some dumb brat i fr need one. Im doing basketball and lacrosse (after school) and i walk to and from the busstop. I did lacrosse last year without a phone, only bc my friends were on the team. But this year none o my frineds r on the team besides one who is more like a person i say hi to once n a while. IDK man i just want and need one really bad and my mom hasnt said that shes gunnna even consider getting me one.

im 16 and still dont have a phone, i really need one though because i plan on getting a job soon and stuff. i dont know if this will work but you could just be like ¨what if i need to call 911 but cant because i dont have a phone? what if you need to pick me up??¨ or something, its a pretty solid argument.

@CybrBoy: it fr works plus ur almost in highschool we live in a dangerous world were at this point phones are probs necessary

i was in a pretty similar senario 4 a while-

but honestly,, flip phones actually work pretty well- if yr mom doesnt want u 2 have like a full on phone just ask 4 a flip phone, a lot actually have like an internet browser so thats pretty cool + they have a whole 90s/2000s vibe (i had 1 for abt 2 years and it worked rly well!! + they r more affordable)

or u could try 2 negotiate and like make rules abt how yr gonna use it (like social media accsess, who u can text, when u can use it,,, yyknw that sorta stuff)

If your mom says no, you could save up the cash to buy one in-person.

There might be a Best Buy or some similar electronics store near you, you might be able to buy a phone there. They usually don't have Apple, I've seen Samsung though. Prices are usually about $40-$100, but I've seen older phones for like $30 if you don't have a lot of cash.

I do understand that this isn't a great option though, since if there isn't a store in walking distance from you, you can't really do much. Good luck on getting a phone!

omzee same i used to have one but it got taken away because i came out as pan so I've been using my mums phone for 4 YEARS and im literally gonna be in highschool in a year
