I GOT YOU, heaven official's blessing and/or scum villain's self saving system, both are by mo xiang tong xiu (she has another book series but it has undertones you wouldn't want so don't read that one!!!) theyre some of my favorite book series!! both are very long reads too so it'll keep you occupied for quite some time

heaven official's blessing is about a fallen god who rises to heaven again after spending 800 years poor and alone, and immediately is sent on adventures where he meets a ghost king and uncovers secrets about the heavens! its got the sweetest love story, the main characters are so good for each other and they are so devoted to one another and genuinely their story makes me so happy, and the BEST angst, good god these books made me SOB. plus all the characters are so well rounded and there are so many different arcs within the story, i adore all of them!! it's definitely worth a shot and will leave you destroyed mentally.

scum villain's self saving system is about a guy who reads a webnovel that is so terrible that his last words end up being "dumbfuck author, dumbfuck novel!" and when he dies he against his will transmigrates into the body of the villain of the novel! to escape being k!lled by the main character, an overpowered pretty boy, he tries his best to stay in his good graces, but his plans get overturned in the best ways possible. this one has a lot more inter-couple angst and left me sobbing so many times. the overall tone of the book is less serious and it's a funny read because of the way it's written, but the angst will absolutely crush you.
