My pattern isn't lining up

I'm still stuck on making this pattern. DX I do just fine until I get to row 7. The problem is that I can't get row 5 and 7 lined up. These two beads need to line up: http://s1265.photobucket.com/user/FeedItToTheBirds/media/4df7f5f1-76de-422a-95f1-d25b8ffbe83f_zps628be2cd.jpg.html but I can't get them to, does any one have a clue what I'm doing wrong? It could be the fact that I'm ending the rows wrong, or starting them wrong, maybe both.. I did make the cuff smaller, its now 24(row 1) and 12(all other rows) but I didn't change the height.

Alright. Thanks for helping. I'll go back and make sure I stringed the beads right.(:

Honestly, I'm not sure I can tell you :/ It's hard to diagnose this type of thing over the internet. It's definitely a problem with how you're following the pattern, but you must be doing something differently to me if my chart doesn't work for you. All I can recommend is either glancing over the photos in one of the tutorials on here to see what you're doing differently, or watching a video tutorial on how to follow patterns like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDLsKn0vZeU

The two beads that wouldn't line up before, still aren't lining up. What could I be doing wrong?

Yeah, I meant the first 2 not 3. >< Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.

When I say you start at bead #3, I mean you string that bead. So for row number five you would only skip the first two beads. Then when you get to the end of the row in the pattern, you need to string the beads you skipped (in this case, 1 & 2) from left to right to complete the row.

So the 3 beginning beads you skip in row 5 go on after you do all the other beads in the 5th row?

You don't necessarily need to understand the tutorial. There's a chart which tells you which bead to start at for each row on this page: http://kandipatterns.com/kandi-tutorials/how-to-read-kandi-patterns For example, for rows 1 and 2 you start at bead #1 (the first bead as you count from left to right on the pattern). For rows 3 and 4 you start at bead #2 (the second bead as you count left to right). For rows 5 and 6 you start at bead #3. For rows 7 and 8 you start at bead #4, and so on. There's a chance this chart won't work for you if you don't make cuffs in the same way as me, but it works for most people.

I think I figured out my problem. I am starting the rows wrong.. But I don't exactly understand the "how to read patterns" tutorials..
