That sounds right: 26 on the first row, 13 on the rest. I can't think of a reason that wouldn't work, so I'm not sure what's going wrong :/

It's too wide. I found that yesterday, but it didn't make all the sense to me. I shortened the beads from 32 on the first row to 26 and the rest of the rows to 13, but it didn't come out right.. As in they didn't weave all the way around.. So I guess what I don't understand is how to shorten all the rows after row 1.

I don't know whether you mean it's too wide, too tall, or both. If it's too tall, or too tall AND too wide, I would recommend just using a smaller tri force pattern. There are several available. The ones that look the best are peyote stitch because triangles don't work well on multi stitch. If it's only too wide, make sure you remove an even number of columns. Here's a page with an example diagram: http://kandipatterns.com/kandi-help/kandifaq/111-do-all-of-your-cuffs-have-to-be-34-i-have-a-small-wrist-and-was-wondering-how-you-would-modify-it-to-be-smaller-
