ok so this dude lives like 10 hours away from me and hes my irl friends online ex but hes really nice and we text and ft alot and we literally call eachother attractive and shit and hes 3 years older than me but i just feel like it would be wrong to date him because hes my friends ex and stuff idk

first i dont think its good to date someone who is 3 years older than you as a teenager. im 14 and the thought of dating a 17 yo is really weird to me, and then... being a 14 year old dating an 11 year old!!! EW!!! or even a 12 year old... but its your choice and if you feel like it would be safe to date him then idk go for it. also having an online relationship sounds kinda awful especially if you've never even met the guy irl but like, if you think you could handle it then again its your decision. if your friend broke up with him cause he was an ass then dont date him!! i personally think itd be a kinda risky relationship but its not like i can give that much relationship advice considering the only person ive ever dated broke up with me because i wasn't emotionally in it or whatever...

@linkinpark: nah they didnt go through a bad breakup theyre just being friends rn because they was some confusion with him cheating on them but it turns out he wasnt

if youre a minor i highly recommend not dating someone 3 years older. that aside, since hes a friends ex, it would be wrong to date him if the breakup involved him hurting your friend. some breakups are amicable, others are due to toxic behaviour, so if your friend has told you stories where hes been a major jerk to them then it would be bad to date him (for both you and your friend. you should put safety first and avoid dating toxic people, and your friend would want your support)

but in my opinion if he's 3 years older than u (and idk how old u r) it may not be safe especially cuz ur a minor. sooooo yea!! i'm not great at advice =__= but just be careful!!
