Is it possible to make a surgical kandi mask using yarn?

SykesNCyanide 5/14/2022 02:50 pm 573

Most of the question is in the title itself. But to elaborate, a lot of the videos and tutorials I've seen people make talking about making kandi masks have the people using fishing line for the main part of the mask (and then elastic string for the ear loops). I don't have access to fishing line at the moment, but i want to make a mask for this event i have coming up in a few days. So is it possible for me to make that base part of the mask using regular yarn?

ive tried using yarn for kandi and it is so tedious to work with, but if it is your only option then go for it

it would work but it wouldnt be the most practical lol, you would probably need to attach plasti =c needles on the end so the yarn doesnt fray so much

it might work but it would fray and itch your face

it is possible but it wouldn’t be very ideal. it would most likely be sort of flimsy as yarn isn’t made to hold beads, especially like that

you could do a tester peyote or something to see if it works though

i tried to do that once but for me it didnt really work and was just a pain. its hard to get the yarn through the beads and it kinda falls apart
