Elastic or Fishing line?

I'm in the process of making a kandi beanie and i already made the base (it's made with elastic cords). And i'm wondering what string would you use for the rest? Elastic or firm? The base of my beanie is an x-base would you use elastic or fishing line?

I personally think that you should use elastic for the whole beanie because you want to be able to not worry about growing out of it or it becoming to tight after a while. sunglasses

"XxstaciaskittlezxX": In general, you should use elastic for smaller kandi, or things that need to be more stretchy and fishing line for things that are bigger or firmer. I think you could use either, but fishing line would probably be better, plus you wouldn't have to waste all of your elastic. Thanks. I just couldn't decide because i wanted it to be done in two days and i'm almost out of elastic ~ I made the base with elastic tho so that should be enough.
