I’m not a big fan of censorship. It’s bad enough that I have to censor random words which Google deems inappropriate; “gay” is not a bad word, Google. I want people to be able to discuss various topics, within reason; I don’t want anything dangerous and I also don’t want excessive drama. I rely on reports to take action, so if you see something you think is harmful, report it and I’ll take a look. A report doesn’t guarantee that I’ll remove it, but it guarantees that I’ll look at it.

There’s a fine balance between not suppressing healthy discussion, and keeping drama to a minimum. It’s impossible to moderate in a way that makes everyone happy, so I’ve just got to do what I can and what I feel is best. I rely a lot on feedback from all of you to determine the best course of action. Threads like this shape how I approach moderation situations, so thank you to those of you who have shared your opinions.

i try not to pay pay pay pay pay pay pay attention to those types of threads purely because i just don't care but though this site has sorta always been like that i have also seen more more more more too.........

i agree that there has been a lot lot lot lot lot lot more venting like i thought we already had a conversation about this????????? wasn't there there there there multiple threads at one point point point point point saying the venting needs to stop?????????

yeah for a site about kandi and plur this place is kind of... uh

its chill most of the time, but remember that one troll from like back in february that caused the site to go up in shambles for several hours straight? that person who told someone to off themselves over a (albeit distasteful, but still and iirc they apologized for saying it) joke? the influx of really aggressive "stop ranting/venting/posting about things that arent about kandi" threads? the numerous amount of (serious) discourse threads? im sure there was some other stuff too, but thats all i can remember rn

crumpet is a good mod though, she usually takes care of things like that when they happen.

as for the liking problematic things... i believe you can enjoy whatever as long as youre critical ("hey, i like this thing but im aware there's problematic things in it/the creator is bad and i dont condone that stuff") of it (unless its like. really, REALLY bad). in my own personal opinion, no media can be 100% unproblematic (unless its intended for literal babies), ESPECIALLY if it was made pre-mid-2010's. theres no stopping those people, and really at the end of the day all you can do is block them if you don't want them interacting with you.
