tornadoes are pretty scary. what part of the country do you live in? i live in missouri in tornado alley, and even though this is one of the worst places to be there has been 2 tornadoes touch down near my house and countless tornado watches/warnings, but i've never been injured by them or seen damage other than fallen branches and a few ripped off shingles that were old anyways. so just know that tornadoes destroying whole towns like you see on the news aren't something you should worry about. it's understandable for something to scare you when you think about it too much or to have the occasional bad dream about it, phobias like those are common, but if you find yourself having panic attacks, having consistent trouble sleeping, or your fear affecting your mental health and everyday life you should really seek professional help. feel free to pm me if you need to talk. i still have specific phobias but they used to be so much worse to the point where i slept less than 2 hours every night due to fear. also tornado experience midwest go brrrrrr

it's perfectly normal to be terrified of tornadoes; i'm 19 and i'm still terrified of them !!! they're a horrendous monster that mother nature creates sometimes. it helps at least a **little bit** to learn more about them, but it also helps more to know what to do in case you get notified that you're under a tornado watch/warning and what signs to look out for. ^___^
