my favorite teacher was a teacher named Ms Hoffman, she was a temporary teacher, but she was kind to me and in her class she had a talk abt anti bullying bc I had told her I was being bullied, she also taught an embroidery class and she gave me an embroidery hoop bc I had a passion for it but I couldn't afford a hoop, she taught ppl about lgbt issues bc of the things my friends and I faced, she took mental health seriously and I miss her! Also my 7th grade teacher who was very good abt mental health she would give us fidget toys, and she said any time I was having anxiety I could go outside she was a really sweet teacher, I also loved my art teacher in 7th grade I had transferred to a new school and she was really helpful and kind and understanding, my history teacher helped me learn to love history when I used to hate it and she was always very kind to me yeah those r mine lolz

my history teacher mr dunton was a big hamilton fan. Like a huuuge fan. He got to see hamilton live in new york i think. He told me about hamilton and i became obsessed. In honor of me being a hamilton fan, he hosted a hamilton week where he played the songs and we analyzed the historical importance of them

my music teacher last year: she was the long term sub because the original music teacher (also my fav) went on maternity leave. We learned stuff but didn’t learn stuff because we always went off topic. She also came up with really stupid nicknames for the trouble making trio of boys to annoy and poke fun at them. (Clover, Orange and One were the names given if anyone was curious). Since it was Q4 (my school does quarters, ( 2 quarters is equal to one semester)) on our last day (well the 2nd to last day because the actual was a field day type thing) she let us go on our phones, do horrible karaoke and horrible dancing to just dance videos on YT

my social studies teacher last year: so fun. It had been a couple days or weeks since we got our family dog and my dog joined me on Zoom. She asked how he was doing when I had to go to her classroom when I was delivering the school store item certificates recentl

there are so many specific teachers that have positively impacted me, but two that stood out the most are my current art teacher and a substitute (started off as a class teacher assistant) ! they’ve both helped me come to terms with my neurodivergency, inspired my art deeply, and have always been there for me to rationalize when i lack the ability to.

the substitute in particular allows emphasizes mental health, and knows i am easily overwhelmed by noise, so when they’re subbing for a class they allow me to simply up n leave. the art teacher provides a safe space for me if i’m unable to go to a particular class.

my calc teacher also understands my noise sensitivity and wants to figure out what fidget toys/stims i can bring to the ap test so i can accordingly test. she has always been there to support me and i dearly appreciate it

because of all of my teachers who have helped me, i’m a much more confident in myself senior

SHOUTOUT TO MY BAND TEACHER?!?!

hes a grown man and he says ily to the class but its not uncomfortable bc normally i would be so uncomfy if any other male teacher said that to us but with him its like normal???? like one time he wore a suit to school for a school preformance and me and my friends ran up to him and said we liked his suit and he was just like ¨ily but get to class¨ AND ALSO HE STICKS UP 4 ME TOO??? AND HES NOT RUDE TO PPL WITH TICS EITHER AND I ALMOST CALLED HIM DAD ONE TIME.

SHE MAKES SCIENCE SO FUN AND STUFF AND SHE HATES WHEN KIDS R LIKE MOANING IN CLASS AND SHE GETS PISSED BC SHES UNCOMFORTSBLE AND SHE STOOD UP FOR ME AND MY FRIENDS WHEN THE SCHOOL DIDNT DO ANYTHING ABT THIS GUY. I LITERSLLY LOVE HER SO MUCHHHHH

@lovejoyflowers: i wish my classmates respected my language teacher more too. i love her sm but people don’t really like her. i always talk to her in spanish in the hallways and we always have pleasant convos

my favourite teacher is mr fd (short for fernandez-davilla lmao) and he’s the social studies teacher. he’s from peru and he’s an archeologist. he’s super nice and chill abt his classes. he tries to use everyone’s name and preferred pronouns, we hold a lunch club in his classroom on mondays and fridays, my friend and i r doing a crochet mat club for refugees out of donated plastic grocery bags in his classroom and he’s overall super nice

i had his class last before christmas break and he played christmas songs (including mariah carey) and let us play game on our chromebooks and on his board. we mostly played fire boy and water girl against each other. he also handed out chocolates

his full name is daniel fernandez-davilla if u want to google him. he did a lot of cool things in archeology and stuff
