Pet peeve of mine... What do you guys think? (MORE SCENE TALK)

A HUGE scene pet peeve of mine is when people see an emo or just a normal person with dyed hair and JUST BECAUSE they have dyed hair they think "Scene". Like, yes, hair is a huge part of the scene subculture and scene and emo hair do look similar but FOR REAAAL just because someone has dyed emo looking hair dosen't instantly mean they're scene, maybe they're just an emo with dyed hair? What do you guys think though, I'd love to hear some second opinionz! : D I can't be the only one who thinks dis- x_x

I agree, like I said, you don't need the scene hair to be scene or to even look scene! Heck, I've seen scene kids pull off hime bangs, it was amazing O_O I've always preferred the titular choppy teased trademark scene hair over other hairstyles but I believe you can have any hair and be scene!

I'm African too but I personally don't like my puffy hair so I prefer to straighten it till I can get a proper scene weave XD But I feel like when it comes to hair types, excessive flat ironing can be really damaging to other hair types (Especially African hair which needs extra moisture IIRC?) so you shouldn't judge others who don't want to flat iron ;w; Besides, scene is ultimately up to the music, you can be a scene kid and not have scene hair, just look at Phat J! (I think this is J? Idk, I've only just started finding Brokencyde's music catchy XDD)

but god, afroscene kids are just as important and valid as people without natural/curly hair

so I have kind of grown out of it but I used to be pretty emo and I dye my hair all the time. It pissed me off so much when people called me scene, I didn't even style it like scene hair or emo hair it was just bright colors so "oh wow look at the freaky scene kid"
