Kandi Ball?

When making a kandi ball, do you have to have an odd number of beads or even? For the base (Single). I just want to make sure before I screw everything up :/

Thanks. I just made a ball with 21 to see how it would turn out and it was all weird >~< It's deff supposed to be even ;P

I would follow this tutorial if I were you, and just change the colors. (and size if you need too, use this as a reference) http://kandipatterns.com/kandi-tutorials/3d-pokeball-tutorial in that tutorial it starts with 16, so I'd say even
