I think it would be okay for something like a long necklace that doesn't need to be stretchy but it is likely to fray or brake

I don't see why you can't use yarn. Yes, it doesn't have the strength and elasticity like more commonly used stringing material for kandi, but it can be used for other purposes. It works really well when you want to make a crochet spiral with pony beads. You get this big chunky pony bead spiral and with the yarn crocheted together with the beads, it's stronger than what it would normally be. I'll be putting up pictures of a pony bead spiral with yarn soon. They make a good practice start before you go down to finer thread and beads.

You can make hemp style braided bracelets with pony beads on them or beaded into them. I wouldn't recommend making anything that needed to stretch with yarn.

i personally have had bad experiances with yarn kandi breaking on me but me friend uses it all the time so i guess it just depends on the strength of the yarn

I use yarn for really long necklaces because I don't want to waste elastic and fishing line gets tangled for me :3 it does after like..... A year and a half stretch out but that's ok. Ad make sure your beads fit thru it first!

it can be used, but unless you want something stretchy, i wouldn't use it. it would be fine for singles.

I feel like u can use anything you want! Not so much with cuffs I don't think...but for example I have used thread with like little puff balls because they don't have holes, and it was sooooo soft and fluffy!!! Ill add a pic later Also-if u have an event coming up and you need a new pacifier go to iheartraves.com or EmazingLights.com and use code TinyDancer as a coupon code AND YOU GET A FREE ONE!!!! I have used yarn for some necklaces once when I didn't have anything else. It worked but it wasn't as good as elastic, and I don't think it would work well for bracelets because those need some elasticity to get over your hand.
